5 Tips to Conciliate Work and College

In the days that follow its common to see people trying to conciliate two works or work and college. That can’t be easy. I’ve been thinking about this for a few time now and I’ve come up with some useful tips to help you conciliate work and go to college at the same time.

1. Make a task list

Organization is the most important skill you need if you’re working and studying at the same time. Mark all important dates in a calendar. That will help you not to forget a paper you had to deliver or a reunion at work. In the beginning of every week spend some time planning what you’ll do that same week. Remember to put the most important tasks in the beginning of every day along with the most difficult tasks. When you have new tasks to do, reevaluate your tasks list to include without forget the older tasks you had to complete. This may be something that many of you don’t do and here is the first step to failure. If you don’t have a task list, you’ll easily distract your self with things that aren’t that important.

2. Sleep enough time

It must be hard to find someone who had never heard about the importance of sleeping well, but how many of us actually do it? We go to sleep to late, wake up to early, walk around tired all day, go home and stay up late. And then we continue with this routine until we’re so tired that we can’t barely remember where we left the car keys. If you don’t sleep enough time your brain doesn’t rest and that means that it can’t perform as well as it should. Sometime we have so many things to do that we end up waking up too early and going to sleep too late, in order to complete as many tasks as possible. It’s better to leave something to do tomorrow than do everything today with a low performance.

3. Eat well

Another factor that affects how well your brain works is what you eat. I understand that you may be in a hurry and don’t have time to cook, but avoid fast foods and recipes with too much fats in them. That will make you feel heavy and slow you down. Chose light recipes, as salads and soups. Don’t forget the veggies and the fruit, to help your brain to be at his best.

4. Don’t waste time

Now that you’ve made your task list, you may have realize that some of those tasks aren’t that important. Or that you have some tasks that you want to do, but can’t find the time. If you can’t find the time for them or think that those tasks aren’t that important, don’t waste your time doing them.

5. Avoid distractions

When you’re working or studying avoid your cell phone and the social media. That will only make you waste your work time with stuff that’s not that important. Don’t study with the TV on, even if you’re ok with some background noise, the TV will only distract you, and you’ll end up watching the last episode of your favorite show.

Those are a few tips to help you conciliate work and college at the same time. What are your techniques to conciliate them? I’ll love to read about it in the comments section below.
